Donation from the Rugby Cement Benevolent Fund

Members of St Lawrence Church, Napton were delighted to accept a cheque from Ian Southcott, UK Community Affairs Manager for the Rugby Cement Benevolent Fund, for an amazing £10,000 towards the Roof Repair Fund. This is a fantastic start to our fundraising as we have to find just short of £80,000 to repair the roof to ensure the church remains water tight for generations to come, and to repairs to adjacent masonry and rainwater goods. Thanks to the trustees of Rugby Cement Benevolent Fund we are an eighth of the way there!

Knit & natter

Our lovely "Knit & natter" ladies have a new project.  They are going to knit poppies to make a cascade to fall from the church tower on Remembrance Sunday.  Watch this space!

Christmas!

Just one picture of one of our very-well attended services over Christmas.  This was the Crib Service in Stockton Church - with lots of angels and shepherds, an innkeeper and his wife, several wise men, Joseph and two Marys!

Messy Christingle

It's Messy Christingle on Sunday 18th December from 10.30am to 12noon in Stockton Church.  Join us for bacon butties, lots of messy crafts and our special Christingle celebration.  See you there!

Christingle Service

We had our first Christingle service of the season on Wednesday.  Thank you to Napton Brownies and St. Lawrence's School orchestra for all your help.  You were great!
