At the beginning of May we welcomed Revd Carol Newborn to the Bridges Group at her Licensing. St Lawrence was full, as friends from her old church came to say farewell, as well as members of all our village churches. Carol came to help Revd Gillian as part of a 3 month sabbatical and she liked it so much she applied for the job!! Please give her a warm welcome when you see her out and about around the villages and we all look forward to her ministry in our villages. Carol’s role is a part time non-stipendiary covering the 6 churches in the Bridges Group.
An announcement has been made in our churches that Rev. Celia Parkes (subject to the usual formalities) is to be the next Associate Minister on a House for Duty basis in the Bridges Group of Parishes. Celia is currently serving in a group of parishes in the Diocese of Chelmsford. It is hoped she will be taking up the appointment before the end of the summer when a date for her licensing can be arranged. Please pray for Celia as she prepares to join our ministry team.
Please see the attached poster for details of this concert.
The following announcement has recently been made in the churches across the Group: Subject to the normal formalities, Rev Carol Newborn is to be the Associate Minister of the Bridges Group. A licensing date is yet to be arranged. Please pray for Carol and her family as she prepares to come and minister among us."

We had lots of fun at the Deanery Massive Messy Church this morning as we thought about God and Science, with lots of experiments and glitter!
The churches of Southam and District are having another Massive Messy Church - on Saturday 11th March from 11.00am to 1.00pm at the Grange Hall in Southam. Our theme is "God and Science". There will be lots of experiments (and probably glitter!), a song and story, endng with a picnic lunch. There is no charge but donations are welcome! Children must be accompanied by an adult please.
