In Stockton and Priors Marston there will be exhibitions of village life over the past 90 years and Priors Hardwick is having a special service of Evensong, followed by strawberries and sparkling wine on the green (please see elsewhere in the magazine for details).

The season of Lent – a time to think about our “spiritual” life

Writing this in January, it doesn’t seem long since we took down the Christmas decorations but already the Easter eggs are in the shops!

Moving Forward in Our Churches

The Bridges group of six churches are planning to make two new appointments after Bob Clucas steps down in December. As part of this process, church members have been asked to complete a survey on the eight qualities needed for churches to grow. Some of us had some reservations about the survey as it uses American vocabulary and does not really seem to relate well to small rural churches. However, some helpful information has come from the surveys that we hope will help the whole group plan for the future.

We apologise to anyone who has been trying to contact us using the Napton Vicarage number 812383. We have had trouble with this phone line which we believe was the fault of BT in the first place but  the 1571 settings were reset causing further difficulties.

If you have left messages on that phone and we have not responded in a reasonable time your message may have gone astray. If in doubt use the mobile number provided in the magazine.

Spirit of the Countryside at Stoneleigh

Archbishop Rowan preaching during the service

The Spirit of the Countryside event at Stoneleigh with the Archbishop of Canterbury was a fantastic occasion, with nearly 1,500 people attending from around the diocese.

Bridging the Gap - Napton's worship group - were honoured to be asked to lead the worship, with the choir from St. Lawrence's School and the ukulele group from Harbury also playing a part.

Read more details and see the pictures of the event on the Coventry Diocese web site.
